Was one of the 'Windmill Girls', appearing in revue at the Windmill Theatre in the London West End during the 1940's.

1950

Began on stage but quickly relocated to Australia after marrying her first husband in the early 1950s. She returned after their divorce in 1957.

1957

Understudied Vivien Leigh in Laurence Olivier's 1957 theatre production of "Titus Andronicus."

1961

Tested for the part of Emma Peel in The Avengers (1961) when it became clear Elizabeth Shepherd was unsuitable for the part, which eventually went to Diana Rigg.

1962

Second husband Herbert Wise directed her in a stage production of "Vanity Fair" in 1962. The following year they married. Divorcing in 1970, he continued to direct her in various TV productions.
