Miguel Ángel Acevedo (Ceres, April 8, 1960) is an Argentine public accountant and politician.
He has been the Vice Governor of the Province of Tucumán since 2023.
Previously, he dedicated himself to holding technical public positions for the government of Tucumán.
Miguel Acevedo was born in Ceres, Santa Fe.
He later moved to San Miguel de Tucumán in the 1980s and received his degree as a national public accountant from the Universidad del Norte Santo Tomás de Aquino.
In 1984, he began working as a technician in the General Management of Organization and Methods.
In 1996, he was promoted to Director of the General Directorate of Organization and Methods.
In 1997, he began working in the Ministry of Economy, later coinciding with the leadership of the ministry by Osvaldo Jaldo during the government of Julio Miranda.
In 2002, he was assigned to the position of Director of Fiscal Policy of the Ministry of Economy.
In 2003, already in the Peronist government of José Alperovich, he became Undersecretary of State of the Secretariat of Coordination with Municipalities; in 2007, he would be promoted to the position of secretary.
In 2015, he became Minister of the Interior, a position he maintains to this day.
In the context of the decision of the Supreme Court to annul the candidacy of Juan Manzur for vice governor of the province of Tucumán on May 9, 2023, on May 12, 2023, he was presented as a candidate for vice governor of the province of Tucumán after having held technical positions in the previous Peronist governments.
He was elected after having won with 55% of the votes in the provincial elections of 2023.
In 2023 he was elected vice-governor of Tucumán, obtaining 54.96% of the votes against the formula Sánchez-Alfaro of Together for Change.
