Oyarzabal has represented the Argentine Republic on two occasions before the International Court of Justice in the case of the Uruguay River pulp mill dispute between Argentina and Uruguay as legal counsel, and in the Advisory Opinion on the Legal Consequences of the 1965 Separation of the Chagos Archipelago from Mauritius in as agent in 2019.

Oyarzabal graduated in 1991 as a lawyer and in 1992 as notary public at the National University of La Plata.
