In the boys' 400 metre freestyle event he won the silver medal and in the boys' 800 metre freestyle event he won the bronze medal.

In 2021, he won the bronze medal in the men's 4 × 200 metre freestyle relay event at the 2020 European Aquatics Championships held in Budapest, Hungary.

In July 2021, he competed in the men's 400 metre freestyle and men's 4 × 200 metre freestyle relay events at the 2020 Summer Olympics held in Tokyo, Japan.
