Julian Sanchez (born March 14, 1979) is an American writer living in Washington, D.C. Formerly a senior fellow at the Cato Institute, he previously covered technology and privacy issues as the Washington editor for Ars Technica.

2003

He first came to public attention in 2003 when he helped to expose gun control critic John Lott for defending himself in online forums using an assumed identity.

Soon afterwards, Sanchez was hired as an assistant editor at Reason magazine, where he is now a contributing editor.

Sanchez was raised in Norwood in Bergen County, New Jersey, where he attended public school.
