"Dance of the Dragon" took no less then ten awards at the 2008 West Hollywood International Film Festival; including Best Cinematography, Best Direction and Best Film. The World Wide Movie Awards also presented "Dance Of The Dragon" with Best Asian Film for 2008.

2009

John Radel is an Award winning ACS accredited Producer / Cinematographer, he has received over 35 film industry awards for his visually stunning films, having worked on projects with acclaimed film makers such as Michael Mann and Ridley Scott. He won over twenty-five ACS awards for his work at the Australian Cinematographers Society. He has also taken out the Australia wide Kodak Cinematography competition for a record two years running, the Critic's Circle Award for Best Cinematography, the top cinematography award at The Temecula Valley International Film Festival in California USA and has been nominated for the emerging talent award by the Film Critics Circle Of Australia. John's films have been selected to screen at various international film festivals including the Cannes International film festival in France, Camerimage in Poland, Shanghai Film Festival and The Sundance Film Festival. John Originally studied production and film making at the prestigious College of the Arts, for three years. During this time he collected his first Gold ACS award. He Then accepted the head position as the production manager of Cameraquip; the largest Australian owned film and television equipment company. He would run the Head office of Cameraquip in Australia for a successful five years before going freelance, shooting music clips for Sony Music, plus numerous commercials and dramas, winning various awards for his work, He continued to work on several feature films in the camera department including the motion picture Queen Of The Damned until he was one of only four to be accepted into the national film school in Sydney; The Australian Film Television and Radio School for 2 years, where he specialized in cinematography, receiving his masters degree. While at the school John was the cinematographer on 20 productions. His love for European and Asian cinema led him to travel to Budapest to learn from master cinematographers Vilmos Zsigmond ASC HSC (The Deer Hunter/Close Encounters Of The Third Kind) and Laszlo Kovacs ASC HSC (Easy Rider). Later to move to Asia to work for over 15 years in Indonesia, Singapore, Korea, China, Philippines, Thailand and Hong Kong on various commercials, Features and Documentaries. With his vast experience in Motion picture Production within Asia, John travels between Asia, USA and Australia working on various international projects, including Line Producing Michael Mann's feature film Blackhat starring Chris Hemsworth (Thor, Avengers), The Ridley Scott produced Sci-Fi film Equals starring Kristen Stewart (Twilight), The Japanese Action Film Joker Game starring Japanese superstar Kazuya Kamenashi, the Sci-Fi / Action film Beyond Skyline starring Frank Grillo (Captain America) and Iko Uwas (The Raid), HBO Asia's new action series Halfworlds season one and two, the Australian feature drama Journey, the action Thriller Headshot directed by the Mo Brothers, The Netflix commissioned action film The Night Comes For Us starring Joe Taslim (Fast & Furious 6), The HBO action series "Grisse", Director of Photography on the Asian Western Action Film Buffalo Boys, The US Feature Film After The Dark produced by George Zakk (XXX, A Man Apart, The Chronicles of Riddick), starring Bonnie Wright (Harry Potter), HBO Asia's first feature action / thriller Dead Mine starring Japanese actress Miki Mizuno, he has also completed shooting and co-producing the motion picture Dance Of The Dragon starring Jason Scott Lee, Korean superstar Jang Hyuk and Fann Wong, which took out 10 awards at the West Hollywood International film Festival, including best Cinematography, as well as the feature length docu/drama Unfolding Florence for acclaimed director Gillian Armstrong which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and the Southern Star television drama series The Surgeon. He has also traveled to New York to shoot In Our Name the controversial feature Length Docu/Drama for Director Chris Tuckfield which received a gold award at the 2009 acs awards.
