World lightweight boxing champion, 1902-1904 & 1906-1908.

1906

He was an actor, known for The Joe Gans-Battling Nelson Fight (1906), Gans-Nelson Fight (1908) and Gans-Herman Fight (1907).

1910

Upon his untimely passing of tuberculosis in 1910, he became the youngest (i.e. most recent born) world champion to die. Succeeding George Dixon though later that year the unenviable status passed to Stanley Ketchel.

1990

Professional boxer. Inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 1990.
