Timeline
Jeff Knight began his film career as a screenwriter. After authoring three professional screenplays, working with his producer, Julio Bove, and his wife, Sheila McClain-Knight, he wrote the TV Pilot "Time Chasers. " That teleplay made it to the final stages at the BBC where it was unfortunately passed over for the popular series "Dr. Who. " Having received a personal phone call from producers at the BBC, wishing they were able to produce the series because of its intriguing content, characters, and story arc, Jeff has referred to the experience as "the best rejection of his life. " It was that phone call that convinced Jeff that his work could and should be seen by the world. After authoring upwards of 20 screenplays and five television pilots, Jeff then decided to try his hand at indie filmmaking in 2005 when he wrote, directed, produced, edited, and acted in his first feature film "The Woods".
This film received praise in underground circles, prompting him to write, direct, and edit his second feature film, "Euthyphro's Dilemma" in 2006. During this time, he worked with his friend and accomplished playwright, Josh Chambers, producing an avante garde series of short films based on music created by Chambers entitled "I Fought a Witch. " This was followed by a 40-minute art piece called "A Million Stories," based on the music of musician, Sara Ayers.
In 2007, Jeff wrote, directed, and edited "A Gentle Art," and followed that film immediately in early 2008 with the critically acclaimed, "Noir," which had been shown privately in theaters in New York's Capital Region. Working tirelessly to express his art as well as gain notoriety in the film community as a accomplished and professional, filmmaker, Jeff directed and edited numerous music videos and short films as well as corporate videos and promotional work.
