Timeline

1933

Jake Maurice Godbold (March 14, 1933 – January 23, 2020) was an American politician who served as mayor of Jacksonville, Florida from 1978 to 1987.

1967

Godbold was elected to the Jacksonville city council in 1967 and served until 1979; he was city council president from 1971 to 1978.
