Ines Schwerdtner (born 1989 ) is a German publicist.

Until the summer of 2023, she was editor-in-chief of the German-language edition of the socialist magazine Jacobin.

Since then, she has been the sole editor of the Hyperpolitik Podcast.

On August 25, 2023, she declared her entry into the Party "The Left"(Die Linke) and announced her intention to run for its list in the European elections.

Schwerdtner grew up in Werdau, Saxony.

She studied Political Science and English at the Free University of Berlin and was the overall coordinator of the magazine Das Argument before joining Jacobin.

In addition, she was the host of the political podcast halbzehn.fm.

2019

She publishes political analyses and commentaries, among other things, in Der Freitag and in Analyse & kritik. In 2019 she wrote a guest commentary together with Marco Bülow at Business Insider.

Schwerdtner is involved in the initiative Deutsche Wohnen & Co. enteignen.
