Came to England in 1929 and, after wartime internment on the Isle of Man, worked with Filippo del Guidice as company secretary of Two Cities Films. Subsequently formed own production company, Coenda Films. Became executive director of Twickenham Studios, which he joined in 1959 until his retirement in 1999.
