Fariyar Aminipour

Fariyar Aminipour (, فەریار ئەمینی پوور; 31 July 2000 – 11 January 2024) was an Iranian kickboxer who was a member of the national Muay Thai team and a legionnaire at Tiger Muay Thai camp.

A kickboxer in the bantamweight category of the One Championship organisation, he was also known as a martial artist in the field of MMA.

Fariyar Aminipour was born in the city of Saqqez.

He is of Kurdish descent.

The presence of Iranian national team members in Muay Thai in this city, like Kaveh Soleimani, who was also his coach, made this athlete interested and enter the world of Muay Thai combat sports.

He became a member of the Iranian national team in 2018.

But later, he became a member of One Championship League and signed a contract.

He died in Chalong tunnel in Phuket, Thailand on 11 January 2024, allegedly due to a motorcycle accident.

Two weeks after his death he was buried in his birth-town on 26 Jan. 2024.

A huge crowd of Kurds attended his funeral and while chanting his name they requested officials to find out the main reason of his death.

After two years of being a member of the One Championship organization and having successful fights, Aminipour was one step away from a $100,000 contract in this organization.

He had four wins and one loss in his career and his last fight was held on December 22, 2023, at the Lumpini Stadium in Bangkok.

He was one of the most successful Iranian legionnaires in East Asia, by defeating strong opponents such as Hiroki Suzuki, Ferrari Fairtex, Rambolek Chor Ajalaboon, and Pongsiri P.K.Saenchaimuaythaigym, he recorded his name forever in the history of this sport.
