He was program director for ABC Radio for ten years, and produced and directed the Paul Whiteman programs, and created other network shows, including "Town Hall Jazz Concerts", "Metropolitan Auditions of the Air", and "Sammy Kaye's Sunday Serenade". Since 1954, he had his own recording service.
