Chetan Thaker

Chetan Thaker is a Compositing Artist. His first job was adding visual effects to short films at ZIMA (A division of Zee Television Network, India) in 2006 and 6 months later, he headed to SkyWork Studios in Gujarat to work as a compositor on motion picture "Blood: A Butcher's Tale"; along with which he worked on a trial episode of image based character animation TV series "Wonder Pets" for Nickelodeon TV.

Completed his Diploma in Mechanical Engineering in Vadodara under Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Mumbai in 2006. After which his love towards animation and visual effects lead him to Zee Institute of Media Arts, Mumbai, India to study Diploma in Film Animation.

Chetan left Sky Works Studios in 2007 and started working as a freelance 3D generalist / compositing artist in the United Kingdom. Since then, he has worked on visual effects for short films, music videos and motion graphics for game trailers.

Later in 2008 he joined Krazy Motion Animation Pvt. Ltd. on contract basis to work over 2 game promos as a Motion Graphics Designer and was part of research group on Live Action + CG Compositing project with output look of "A Scanner Darkly".

Continuing the Visual Effects work, Chetan joined Tekhnix Studios (a division of Delta House) in 2009, where he worked on Motion Graphics promos for Tekhnix Studios, teaching foundation of Film Making and Visual Effects to students and providing technical support to interns conducting research on experimental animation. He finished his primary and higher secondary education at Carmel Convent High School in Junagadh city of Gujarat, India.
