Cameron Golden was born and raised in Dundee, Scotland.

His younger brother, Jamie, also represents Scotland in hockey.

2017

Golden made his debut for the Scotland U–21 side at the 2017 EuroHockey Junior Championship II in St. Petersburg.

He appeared at the 2017, and 2018 editions of the Sultan of Johor Cup in Johor Bahru, winning silver and gold, respectively.

2018

Golden made his senior international debut in 2018.

He medalled with the team for the first time in 2021, taking home silver at the EuroHockey Championship II in Gniezno.

In 2022, Golden was named in the squad for the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.

2019

He followed this up with another appearance in 2019.

He captained the team to a gold medal at the EuroHockey Junior Championship II in Plzeň.
