He has also played for the New Haven Chargers.

He was born in Walnut Creek, California, and raised in Falmouth, Maine, to Peter and Elizabeth Hamilton Guarino.
He attended Falmouth High School.
He has a B.S and a master's degree in Environmental Science from University of New Haven in addition to the one from Georgetown University in Sports Management.
In high school, Guarino emerged as a standout player, earning distinctions such as the 2017 Gatorade Player of the Year and being named to various All-State and All-Conference teams.
In 2017 Guarino led Falmouth to a 4–1 victory over second-seeded Cheverus in the Class A South title game at St. Joseph's College.
After giving up a single in the first inning, Guarino retired the next 16 batters to help the Yachtsmen capture their second consecutive regional title.
In the Class A South Final against South Portland, Falmouth's baseball team secured a 4–2 victory, advancing to the state championship game; Guarino pitched a one-hitter and improved his record to 10-0 for the season.
Guarino started his collegiate baseball career at the University of New Haven; over his time with the Chargers, Guarino made 17 appearances primarily as a reliever, finishing with a 5.83 earned run average (ERA) in 29.1 innings pitched.
In his freshman year in 2019, Guarino emerged as a key contributor, leading all Charger pitchers with 16 appearances, including two starts.
He recorded a 1–2 record with one save and struck out 42 batters in 41.0 innings pitched.
Guarino received accolades for his academic excellence while maintaining a solid presence in the bullpen.
