Best known as Al Jackson, the 5' 10" lefty pitcher was signed by The Pittsburgh Pirates as an amateur free agent in 1955. He was with The Pittsburgh Pirates briefly in 1961, then The NY Mets from 1962-1965 and 1968-1969. In between, in 1967, he was a member of The National League Champion St. Louis Cardinals.
