Her father is the prolific Executive Producer / Producer of over one hundred and seventy five Movie of the Week's and feature films - Mr. Charles W. Fries, known as the originator of the Movie Of The Week (MOW) Format. Her mother, a former school teacher, is Carol M. Fries who's Historical American Heritage dates back to the civil war. From 10 months of age, Alice was raised in Beverly Hills and graduated Beverly Hills High School. She recalls most of her childhood having been spent on a film set. Alice traveled throughout the United States before going to high school and after graduating, she traveled throughout Europe and Russia. One of her most memorable moments was when she met Marine Explorer and International Television Personality 'Jacques Cousteau' while her father was producing Jacques' series of underwater specials. Alice has continuously worked in the entertainment industry in various capacities since the age of twelve when she was an extra in such MOWs as Halloween with the New Addams Family (1977) and Are You in the House Alone? (1978). At the age of fifteen, Alice found a trilogy of books written by the world famous female author V. C.

Andrews and championed the effort for her father to obtain the rights to and produced a Feature Film in 1986 based on the first book entitled Flowers in the Attic (1987) starring: Kristy Swanson and Academy award-winning - Best Actress - Louise Fletcher. The feature was produced for $3. 5 million dollars, grossed over forty million dollars and in its first year delivered over 200,000 video units. Alice was a still photographer on the film which was directed by: Jeffrey Bloom.

She is set to produce the sequels to the series of books in 2004. Another honored experience at age seventeen, Alice assisted the famous Actor/Director - Jackie Cooper and an Emmy Nominated Film Editor - her brother: Tom Fries, on a MOW: Rosie - The Rosemary Clooney Story.
