He was found to be betting from 2 November 2006 to 12 June 12, 2007, and was caught as a result of an investigation beginning in April 2007.

During his career, he reached the final of one ATP tournament, the 2007 ATP Buenos Aires.

On 26 February 2007 the left-hander reached his career high ranking of world no. 68.
