In 2010 he graduated from the VGIK as a cinematographer, and started work as a director of photography (DOP).

In 2011 he filmed Russian director Taisiya Igumentseva's short film Doroga na (2011) ("The Road To"), which won the main prize of the Cinéfondation competition the following year at the 65th Cannes Film Festival.

2012

In 2012, he shot his first full-length movie, Bite the Dust (2013) ("Bite the Dust"), also directed by Igumentseva, which premiered at the 66th Cannes Film Festival in 2013.
