Alan Sheffield Ball (born March 29, 1985) is a former American football cornerback in the National Football League (NFL) for the Dallas Cowboys, Houston Texans, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Chicago Bears.
As a senior, he helped his team win the 2001 state championship in football, by making 15 interceptions 6 in the postseason). He received All-region honors.
Also a standout track & field athlete, he received All-State honors after winning back-to-back 110-meter hurdles state titles as a junior and senior.
Ball accepted a football scholarship from the University of Illinois.
